There is no doubt about it that Billie Eilish is a global icon.
At just 17 years old, she is easily one of the biggest superstars in pop culture right now.
She just released a music video for her song, “All The Good Girls Go To Hell” and the internet is going crazy.
And before you ask, “are you sure you understand the song and what it means?”
Yes, I 110% do. And that’s why I am writing this.
So, I am going to say this in the most respectful way possible…
I 110% disagree with the song, the message and just about everything to do with her brand…
But I don’t hate her nor do I judge her for her lyrics, lifestyle or theology.
In fact, I want her to be encouraged by my words and I want to release this open letter to her in response.
I just watched the music video and read the lyrics for your song, “All Good Girls Go To Hell” and I’m honestly just wanting to drop in and tell you that I don’t believe that all good girls go to hell nor do I believe that you’re a bad person.
I believe that there is hope for you and that you can find happiness.
I’m not here to bash you, throw stones at you or do anything but tell you that I am here for you and that I truly believe that Jesus loves and cares for you.
I have had my own fair share of bouts with anxiety, depression and mental health and I’m not perfect…
None of us are.
You are beautiful, you are loved and you do have purpose.
I’m always here if you need someone to talk to.
